And sure, some of them helped but mostly it was like putting band-aids on a deeper problem.
It felt like I had too many mental and emotional tabs open in the background, running constantly and making it nearly impossible to truly feel at ease, stay composed in stressful situations, or fully feel my feelings without getting overwhelmed or shutting down…
and I didn’t know how to close them.
What I wanted was simple. I wanted my life to feel like a deep breath.
Something I could enjoy and savor.
Something I wasn’t just trying to keep up with or hold together.

What is a “Feel your way forward” somatic healing session?
It is a body-led, safe and titrated journey of meeting yourself fully as you are. Sessions are a combination of practices and techniques tailored to your unique needs and female nervous system, which includes Embodied Processing. Embodied Processing is a somatic (body-based), trauma-informed approach that helps uncover and gently resolve the deeper roots of patterns like chronic overwhelm, people-pleasing, anxiousness, emotional reactivity, relational struggles, and survival-based coping.
Rather than trying to think your way out of these patterns, we work directly with the body and nervous system where many of these responses originally formed.
This work is integrative, evidence-informed, and designed to support the whole human: body, mind, and emotions. It is especially supportive for people who have already done a lot of inner work and are looking for something beyond constantly managing symptoms or trying to regulate themselves.
Embodied Processing draws inspiration from neuroscience and somatic approaches such as Somatic Experiencing, Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems, NeuroAffective Relational Model, Compassionate Inquiry, NeuroAffective Touch, The Diamond Approach, and more.
In sessions, we gently explore sensations, emotions, and internal responses in the present moment. Instead of analyzing the story or pushing for quick resolution, the focus is on creating a stable foundation of safety in the body first and then sensing, meeting, and allowing the body’s survival patterns and emotional imprints to unfold and complete naturally. You learn to “feel your way forward” in a way that honors your unique nervous system so healing isn’t another task but something that fundamentally changes you at the root and how you relate to yourself, others and your life.
These sessions go beyond traditional talk therapy or basic nervous system regulation by working directly with the emotional and survival patterns held within the body.
As the nervous system experiences safety and support, stored survival stress is metabolized and orphaned parts are integrated, many people find their capacity to feel, respond, and stay present in their lives expands. Over time, this allows long-held patterns to integrate in a way that feels more lasting and embodied.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many sessions will I need?
Every person and nervous system is different. Some clients experience meaningful shifts in one or a few sessions, while others choose to continue the work over time as deeper layers unfold. Many people find it helpful to begin with a few sessions to allow the work space to integrate.
This work is about helping you integrate what has been held for years so you no longer have to manage yourself. With the deep integrative nature of the work plus the capacity and skills people develop, clients find they can rely more on their own inner resources and need sessions less often.
Do I have to talk about my trauma or relive painful memories?
No. This work does not require you to relive or retell traumatic experiences. Instead, we work with what is present in the body and nervous system in the moment. The process is paced gently and guided by your capacity so that your system feels supported rather than overwhelmed.
What actually happens during a session?
Sessions are guided by what your body and nervous system are ready for that day. We begin with assessing your nervous system and creating a resource of safety and groundedness through exploration in the body. After we feel resourced in safety, we invite in the issue you’d like to work on in session such as overwhelm, a specific trigger, etc. Rather than analyzing the story associated with the trigger, we focus on what the body is communicating and allow patterns to unfold and integrate naturally. This may include working with an orphaned part, processing stored survival stress or building capacity to feel. As the body naturally finds completion, we finish the session with integration practices and anchoring back into groundedness.
How is this different from therapy or coaching?
Many approaches focus on understanding patterns through conversation or strategy. Embodied Processing works directly with the nervous system, body and subconscious where many of these patterns originally formed and are still held. This allows emotional responses and survival patterns to complete in a way that lasts and is embodied.
What if I feel like my emotions are too much?
Many people come to this work because they feel overwhelmed by their emotions or unsure how to hold them. A core part of this process is helping you build the capacity to feel emotions safely without becoming overwhelmed or shutting down.
Is this work right for me?
This work tends to resonate with people who are self-aware, have done some inner work already, and sense that something deeper in the body and nervous system is still asking for attention. If you’re tired of managing yourself and want to feel more at ease in your body and life, this work may be a good fit.
How do I know if I’m ready for this work?
Often the feeling of curiosity or resonance is enough. If something in you feels drawn to this work, that’s usually the body recognizing an opportunity for support.
What if I don’t know what I want to work on?
That’s completely okay. Many people come to sessions with a general sense of overwhelm, emotional intensity, or feeling disconnected from themselves without knowing exactly why. In this work, we don’t need a perfectly defined “problem” to begin.
We can start with what is present in your body and nervous system in the moment. Often, as safety and awareness increase, the patterns or emotions that are ready to be explored naturally begin to reveal themselves. You don’t have to figure it all out before you come.

This work is a modality designed to support nervous system awareness and restoration, emotional regulation and personal growth.
